Fabulation, Or, the Re-Education of Undine

If you haven’t yet seen “Fabulation: Or, the Re-Education of Undine,” we urge you to do so.  Directed by Brooklyn’s own Cynthia Babak and performed by the Brave New World Repertory Theater Company, it runs until May 13 at the Brooklyn Lyceum.  Natalie Venetia Belcon, who plays Undine, is a force of nature, and the cast members who play her family are truly funny.  Together they have great comedic chemistry.   Playwright Lynn Nottage is the winner of a Pulitzer Prize, and “Undine” won an OBIE in 2005.  The Brave New World production is both entertaining and moving.  The costuming also hits the mark, providing spot-on depictions of everything from a Duane Reade employee to a upper east side matron to a pregnant teenager from the projects, striking a note of authenticity that all real New Yorkers will appreciate.  A full write-up appears in the Daily News.  Get your tickets today!
